Marae

WALT: write a recount


I went on a bus on the way to Orakei Marae. I looked out the window and saw trees and mountains. I waited out side quietly for the karanga, the call of welcome.
Mr. Ka led me in to the meeting house. I arrived on the meeting house deck and removed my shoes. I sat in the meeting house and listened to speeches. I had morning tea in the eating house. I played on the hill. I took the bus back to school. I felt happy. I went and had morning tea and it was delicious. Sketching the carvings was fun.
